MCLE – Law of the Sea – Developments in Greece
Wednesday, March 19 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm PDT
The Law of the Sea, a complex framework governing maritime rights and boundaries, is constantly evolving. Greece, with its extensive coastline and strategic location in the Mediterranean, finds itself at the forefront of these developments. This MCLE delves into the recent shifts in Greece’s Law of the Sea, exploring the implications for its maritime boundaries, resource claims, and relations with neighboring countries.
Presented by Dimitrios Dimitrakis, a California lawyer specializing in public international law. He earned his Master of Laws (LL.M) with merit in public international law, and a Doctorate (JSD) in international water resources law. Under the supervision of Prof. Stephen McCaffrey, in his doctoral dissertation he examined the international legal framework for the regulation of land-based sources of marine pollution globally and regionally, with emphasis, respectively, on UNCLOS and the Regional Seas Programme.
Attendees will be awarded 1.0 General MCLE point for their attendance. You must be present during the meeting.
